    Eee… Actualy, I’m a bit disappointed about the news since there were rumors before that the much-loved actor Kim Bum would take his debut sageuk drama in SBS’s upcoming series ‘Honorable Baek Dong Soo’. But, with this news right now, he is confirmed to be out of the project.
    Then, there is Ji Chang Wook who played the adorable youngest brother in ‘The Sons of Sol Pharmacy House’ and the Dong Hae role in daily drama ‘Smile, Dong Hae’. He has been confirmed to take the lead role as the noble warrior Baek Dong Soo. I have never watched his drama, so I have no idea about him. [Still, I want Kim Bum for it!]
    Rising actor Yoo Seung Ho (God of Study, Flames of Desire) has also recently joined the drama by playing the best swordsman of the Chosun times talented in martial arts, swords, spear, archery, horseback riding and more. He is also the key member of the warriors who seek to murder King Jeongjo. Born with the fist to death, her character has the faces of a handsome boy and the face of a murderer. [Yay~ at least, I love Seung Ho. But, it would be more awesome to see him with Kim Bum on screen together playing the sageuk warrior! 
    The drama based on fusion heroic historical manhwa with the same title follows a crown prince in wooden chest about to meet death, but actualy turns out he has bigger influence and authority beyond imagination.
    In addition to both, the drama also stars the veteran actor Choi Min Soo (Sandglass, Father’s House), and the talented young actor Nam Ji Hyun (Queen Seon Duk, Will it Snow at Christmas, Giant). The drama is aiming to July premiere.

    First Looks of ‘Honorable Baek Dong Soo’ Released!


    The four leading roles of SBS’s new sageuk drama ‘Honorable Baek Dong Soo’ (Ji Chang Wook, Yoo Seung Ho, Yoon So Yi, and Yoon Ji Min) were seen together at SBS Ilsan production center on May 15 to hold the poster shoots for the show, leading it to release these pictures to public.
    Ji Chang Wook and Yoo Seung Ho also started their first filming on May 17, recording the scene where Baek Dong Soo (played by Ji) and Yeo Woon (Yoo) change into the adult actors as they train in secret. Their child characters will be played by young actors Park Geon Tae (Kim Soo Ro, Sorry I Love You) and Yeo Jin Goo (Giant).
    Although, it’s their first time to act in action project, the actors surprised the staff with their high level skills of martial arts that they got from a 3-months intensive training.
    ‘Honorable Baek Dong Soo’ follows the story of the greatest warrior Baek Dong Soo who was skilled in martial arts and lived an ambitious life under the name of a chivalrous fighter. It premieres on July 4, following Yoon Eun Hye-Kang Ji Hwan’s on-going romantic-comedy drama ‘Lie To Me’.

    The Winners of 2010 MBC Drama Awards


    With the end of the year comes, that means it’s time to each broadcast station to hold their end-of-year awards. Last night, MBC, one of the mayor Korean broadcast company held the MBC Drama Awards to appreciate their shows. The event hosted by Lee So Yeon (Dong Yi) and Kim Yong Man.
    Honestly, I think there were just a few MBC dramas that were enough interesting for me this year, even though I couldn’t say that I liked it very much, either. Let me say that ‘Pasta’, ‘The Woman who Still Wants to Marry’, and ‘Dong Yi’ were the most 3 favorites of mine among all MBC’s dramas.
    But, I just wonder why there was no awards for ‘The Woman who Still Wants to Marry’, considering the drama was really enjoyabale. If the reason is its low rating, but why ‘Playful Kiss’ which has quite similar number, got the awards. I prefer the first than the latter.
    Here is the list of the winners (the weird thing I have in my mind is WHY all categories have two winners, even for Daesang!) :
