The most frequently performed nonsurgical procedure was Botox injections and the most popular surgical procedure was breast augmentation.” According to this study, Breast Augmentation is the most performed surgical procedure for Women and Liposuction is the top cosmetic procedure for Men. The number one non-surgical procedure for both men and women are botox injections. This study calculated that over 53% of these cosmetic procedures were performed in Doctor's offices n 2008, 26% in freestanding surgery centers and 19% were performed in hospitals. "Americans spent just under $12 billion on cosmetic procedures; $7.2 billion was for surgical procedures, and $4.6 billion was for nonsurgical procedures."
