Call The Glambulance: Britney Spears Steps Out With A Huge Patch Of Her Weave Missing

Oh Britney. Sigh. You've done it again.
Just when we think that maybe Britney Spears is really ok and that she's finally in a better (more sane!) spot in life, pictures like these crop up. Apparently, the pop singer was at a Crate and Barrel store in Sherman Oaks, California yesterday when this picture was taken.
I mean, I kind of get it in that I've been in the process of getting extensions done in college and took a break to go get food. However, I'd always put on a scarf or hat so no one would know that I had only half a head full of weave. Apparently, Britney thinks it's OK to walk around with patches of her weave missing. And, the biggest mystery here is why has her real hair not grown anymore than that?! (I'm assuming that those scraggly little darker pieces are her real hair.) She shaved her head in 2008 so she should have a head full of hair by now and not even need to wear the weave. Maybe she's really just as bald as Naomi Campbell? Gasp!
Whatever the case may be, I think the girl still needs help. And no, I will not just "leave Britney alone" because if you're a high profile celebrity (such as she) then this is not ok.
Ah, well, I guess the silver lining on this hot mess of a cloud is that at least she's not locked up in jail like Lindsay Lohan.....

MAGAZINE SHAM: Cosmo PhotoShops Britney Spears' Head onto a Different Pic of Her Body

Can someone explain why the new cover of Cosmopolitan looks like an experiment in Microsoft Paint gone wrong?


That's clearly Britney Spears' head attached to a different pic of her (significantly airbrushed) body. It'd be scary if it wasn't so laughable. Editors are literally creating celebrities' bodies on their PC's these days.


I know Brit Brit is not easy to photograph, but seriously...attaching two pictures together? That's going too far.


And if you're going to attach pictures and photoshop anyway, put her head on Catherine Zeta Jones' body so we all have something more impossible to aspire to.


What do you think of this Photoshop, job? My vote? Complete sham.

New Weave On The Block: Victoria Beckham

Spotted: Victoria Beckham walking through the airport on her way to Cannes (sons in tow) rocking longer locks. Why she ditched her uber sexy (poshy) glamtabulous haircut is beyond me. (I mean, that is a pretty fly haircut!) But, at least her weave looks like it's been professionally done (and not like she just slapped some tracks in herself like I think Britney Spears may have done...ew.) But, the ends look a bit piecy to me, so perhaps she should have added in a bit more hair?

Jamie Lynn Spears rumored to have liposuction during pregnancy..

According to yeeeah.com and makemeheal.com the younger sister of famous Britney Spears reportedly underwent a liposuction procedure to battle her perceived weight gain.
She didn’t know she was pregnant when she filled out the health questionnaire prior to the procedure,” a source reveald. “Her mom approved the injections and went through tons of red tape to get the clinic to administer them to an underage patient.”

Moms-to-be are advised against this procedure and most other elective, cosmetic treatments during the gestation period.   I don't know if I necessarily believe this story, but the take-home message can be to eat a well-balanced diet, exercise at least 3 to 4 times per week for at least 20 minutes, and get a pregnancy test before getting any invasive surgical procedure done if you suspect you may be pregnant! (Not to worry, most institutions require it as a part of pre-operative testing). Thanks EPS.

Brit Sets the Record Straight

Though it is rumored that the Queen of all Pop-tarts, Britney Spears, has had a rhinoplasty in the past, it is not her nose, or outlandish media antics that are making the news recently. Despite Britney's recent rocky road, which was almost completely documented by the media and tabloids, things are starting to straighten out for her.









December 2, 2008 is not only the star's twenty-seventh birthday, which she will celebrate on Good Morning America, but it is also the release date of her much anticipated, appropriately named album, Circus. It seems as though Britney Spears has been the center of the media circus since she hit the scene in 1998 with "Hit Me Baby One More Time", but she will finally set the record straight on November 30, 2008. Britney
 will release the 90-minute documentary she teamed up with MTV to make, entitled "For The Record". (Read the MTV story here). Britney Spears has long since been on the road to reputation-recovery and does not plan to slow down anytime soon. This is the comeback we've all been waiting for! We still love you, Brit!

VMA 2008

The MTV Video Music Awards 2008 were held last night in Los Angeles. How about Britney Spears? She seems to be on the comeback trail. She did not perform, but she opened the show and took home several Moonmen for Best Female Video, Best Pop Video and Video of the Year. Compared to last year, she looks great!




Now, what about Christina Aguilera? She has undergone some drastic changes in the past few years. She looks great for having a baby 9 months ago. She wore a low-cut black dress that accentuated her breasts, which are most likely augmented. In an article on www.stars-plastic-surgery.com, it is rumored that she has undergone breast augmentation and a rhinoplasty. She performed at the show, singing "Genie in a Bottle" and "Keeps Getting Better." I think she was obviously lip-syncing in her tight black outfit.





Another star who has been rumored to have had breast implants is Lindsay Lohan. She looked pretty at last night's show wearing a long-sleeved purple dress. Although she has never admitted to having plastic surgery, an article on makemeheal.com, "Lindsay’s razor-thin body is in striking opposition to her voluptuous breasts, suggesting this lack of proportion between her chest and body was achieved by cosmetic surgery."

Did Britney Spears get SmartLipo?

With all of the attention turned to Britney Spears' (recent) fabulous physique has come the obligatory question whenever celebs lose weight: "How did she do it?"

Sure enough, the pop tart reveals just that in the latest issue of OK! magazine courtesy of E!Online, talking about how she's cut out sugar and that her meals consist of things like chicken, salmon, rice, avocados, egg whites and turkey burgers.

"I try to do just 1,200 calories a day," says Brit, who also happens to work out five days a week. "It may sound like it's not much, but it's actually a lot of food if you eat the right things."

12oo calories a day is a tough diet, and is likely similar (but not necessarily the same) as one that is often prescribed to diabetics by docs as recommended by the ADA (American Diabetic Association).

Just looking at the photo to the left of Britney's tuned up abdomen, it leads one to wonder if she also had a quick fix like SmartLipo or some type of traditional liposuction procedure. I haven't examined or treated her, but I wouldn't be surprised if at some point after having kids she had something like that. SmartLipo is awesome because it can be done on defined, isolated fat pockets under local anesthesia, and the patient can literally walk out the door and go home afterward with very little downtime (except for some bruising and swelling typical of any lipo procedure). SmartLipo utilizes a laser to melt the fat first, which then gets suctioned away with small cannulas. The lasering beforehand purportedly helps over the next few months with skin retraction or tightening. And Britney's abdominal and outer and inner thigh skin looks kind of tight here, reminiscent of young women who have had such a procedure done. (I say young because younger women have more elasticity in their skin and more of an ability for the skin to tighten smoothly). Exercise and diet of course help, and should be first line when trying to shed pounds.
