Southern Rockers, Atlanta Rhythm Section, to Play Suncoast Showroom, June 25-26
Top 10 hit makers and famed
Southern rock band Atlanta Rhythm Section will perform at the Suncoast Showroom
June 25 and 26, each evening at 7:30 p.m.
Originally formed as a house
band at Studio One, a recording studio in Doraville, Georgia, throughout their career Atlanta Rhythm Section would
go on to record many of their own albums, some of which produced singles that
charted on Billboard. When starting out at Studio One, the musicians would play
for others’ tracks three to four days of the week and use the other days to
write and produce their own music.
Also referred to at ARS, the
group is recognized for hit songs “So Into You” and “Imaginary Lover” from 1977
and 1978, respectively. Other Top 40 hits include “Doraville,” “I’m Not Gonna
Let It Bother Me Tonight,” “Do It or Die,” “Spooky,” all from the 70s and
“Alien” from 1981.
